This exhibition brings together additional artwork from projects that are featured in Tony Sarg: Genius at Play<\/em> at the Whaling Museum. It includes works from three of Tony Sarg\u2019s most significant <\/span>published works<\/span>: <\/span><\/span>Humours<\/span> of London<\/span><\/span><\/em> (1914); <\/span><\/span>Tony Sarg\u2019s Book for Children from Six to Sixty<\/span><\/span><\/em> (1924), and <\/span><\/span>Tony Sarg\u2019s New York<\/span><\/span><\/em> (1926). <\/span>Employing colorful bird\u2019s eye views and illustrations that <\/span>playfully interact with words<\/span> on the page, the<\/span> works on view <\/span>demonstrate Sarg\u2019s skills as a visual storyteller. <\/span>Also included <\/span>are treasur<\/span>ed <\/span>Tony Sarg <\/span>books<\/span> from the NHA\u2019s Library Collection<\/span>,<\/span> such as <\/span><\/span>Tony Sarg\u2019s Book of Animals<\/span><\/span><\/em> (1925), <\/span><\/span>Tony Sarg\u2019s Book of Tricks<\/span><\/span><\/em> (1928), <\/span><\/span>Where is Tommy<\/span><\/span><\/em>?<\/em> (1932), <\/span>and <\/span>many others.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum<\/a> in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in partnership with the Nantucket Historical Association, <\/span><\/span>Tony Sarg: Genius at Play<\/em><\/span><\/span> will go on display at the Nantucket Whaling Museum this summer season, the first comprehensive exhibition exploring the life, art, and adventures of Tony Sarg (1880-1942<\/span><\/span>). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
